Oct 26th- Notice a burning sensation in kneecap area. Pain increased as during the day No impact injury to knee had occurred
Oct 27th - Pain increased throughout the day, stopped trying to bend knee, pain spreading to calf area. Called PCP 12:46pm. Appointment was scheduled for early 10/28/2016
Oct 28th- Saw PCP doctor with complaint of sore left knee and tight/sore left calf area. Left leg was noticeably redder than right. Diagnosis was a torn patellar tendon. Referred to surgeon, and performed an EKG. Dr seemed quite confident stating “we may only need the MRI “if” the surgeon requires it”. He also called in several of his associates to show them my knee.
Sent to local Hospital for blood, urine, and MRI testing. MRI was read by Orthopedic Surgeon, who diagnosed it as a torn quadriceps tendon. Told it needed to be repaired by surgery scheduled for following Wednesday.

Questions-
Did knee damage cause clots, or clotting cause the knee issue?
If not a torn tendon, what was the knee problem? Bursitis? A DVT?
Why was the calf pain, redness, and swelling ignored? Any of that sound efficient or professional?
Shouldn't a board certified Dr check for a condition that kills someone every 5 minutes when I had 3 major symptoms? A nurse and a $100 blood test (t-timer) that my insurance covers at 100% found the issue.
This breaks my faith in the medical profession. I kick myself for not doing my own diagnosis. Had the t-timer test been done in the beginning I would not have the possibility of permanent lung damage. Don't they take an oath to do no harm?
